2/7/10 Patience: You have to wait
Ps. 27:1-3; 13-14
Is. 40:27-31
Source of counsel:
1) Holy Ghost
2) Word of God
-the separation of church and state pushes an unspiritual life on us. We have to push spiritual life back in-LIFE( life was meant to be all parts together). The world wants to believe in humanity.
-Cultural dissimlation: the enemy causes the kingdom to appear/be different form the culture of the generation which causes you to war with Gods culture. So ultimately, you are forced to choose between the two and most end up following the culture of the generation. (God never intended fore you to have a Bible because he intended to walk with you in the cool of the day and give you instruction like he did with Adam and Eve.)
-In God's economy: patience and waiting bring power
-the culture has made it unpopular to be patient or wait for anything.
Power
2. run and not grow weary; walk and not faint:
-patience creates endurance
-consistency with the understanding that you will get stronger over time(day 1 (of waiting): you will get weary but with the belief that by day 10, 15, 50 it will be better.)
-the Lord would rather you be strong than happy (he would rather you be strong and broke than rich and weak)
1. soar on wings like eagles
-patience enables you to fly (fly rather than run or walk)
-it enables to you avoid obstacles and challenges
-and reach places that you could not
-you will deal with things that running/driving that you would not if you flew (ex. the connection flight from charlotte to raleigh has been delayed: you can rent a car and drive the 2 and a half hours or wait 10 more min. and take a flight that will take you only 30min.)
-strong careers have to be built
-patience comes from parents (those who make you wait on things)
